Thiago de Mello Zanetti...
I began fly
fishing at 12 years old back in 1991. Exchanged letters with an old time
Angler from Rio de Janeiro (Paulo Cesar) who taught me with his
illustrations how to cast, to mend, and the basics. I learned fly tying
with another master, but this time from my hometown, Curitiba, Mr
Anderson Wolupeck, I use to spend the afternoons after classes at his
side at the tying bench he had. Other great influence on my fishing was,
and still is, the Walkers Cay Chronicles by Flip Pallot, watching him
fishing the backcountry I learned to fish snook, which is my primary
fish, followed by largemouth bass, and other local species. But
saltwater is my true passion.
He has helped us design our current
Mangrove series, as well as a small fly rod line (only available in
Brasil).
